A snapshot of one of today's Facebook friends suggestions to a 60+ year old man in a relationship!
Why?
Question about friends on Facebook?
On my Facebook profile is says “In a Relationship” I know it does because I made sure it does in the hope that I wouldn't get pestered by a billion friend requests from singles looking for other singles.
“I’ll come to the question soon”…
Meantime, I am not much of a computer nerd, but I have managed to build and maintain three websites that get lots of hits and some great comments from people who don’t even know that a 60+ year old man with no past experience in computers and suffering from dyslexia manages to be such a techie. So I'm quite proud of my achievements when it comes to the nerdy side of my life.
But…(Regarding my public Facebook page)...I do not understand why Facebook insists on sending every 10 minutes or so…3 pictures and suggestions that I make friends with young girls dressed in underwear, swimwear and even just a dishcloth to hide their most intimate bits that are really only designed to produce and feed babies.
Some of these rather sad looking young girls are clearly younger than my eldest granddaughter and obviously trying to sell their child like bodies to old men who they have trawled the internet to find. Some others look more like men than women and have clearly been around the block a few times before attempting to lour this old man into parting with his dignity and no doubt what little cash he might have left over from the last shark that managed to clean him out.
Don't get me wrong here…
I am not a misogynist or hater of anyone who’s trying to better themselves or find true love with someone old enough to be their granddad. I do like women very much and always have…In fact I've been happily and unhappily married for a total of 23 years past and have partnered several other ladies since the only true love of my life parted from my world a long time ago.
About 10years ago, I realised that I'm not really cut-out to be in a relationship with anyone except myself and my work and ever since then I've become the happiest man in the world without harming anyone else to become so. I feel so lucky to have discovered this blissful state of affairs before I lay down my head for the last time in 20 years or so from now.
So the QUESTION?
Can someone tell me how to get the Facebook engines to stop sending those pictures and friend requests from the most inappropriate people that the internet decides I might be interested in? And how do I get them to decide I just want to see friends of roughly my own age and not looking for anything other than an honest and wholesome friendship via the this social network platform?

Thanks.
